MUTE!

I'm sure everyone has seen by now that most videos on YouTube have been muted or claimed of copyright and removed. Well I say to YouTube: "F@#K YOU!"

I don't know what has been happening to the videos lately. Many videos that contain full songs cleverly made up into a crazy dance or lip-sync video have become muted. This videos indicate that a "third party" has made a copyright claim to that particular song and/or video.

There are two sides to this:

1) It is against the law to publish a song with your own work and claim it as "your work".
2) These songs are being used, not for profit, but for entertainment purposes only. (Creative Common License anyone?) Therefore, proper notification of the musical artists may allow the music to stay accompanied with the video.

However, there is a problem. Many of these muted videos or disappearance of videos are from the company that produces the music!! The production company for the music/music videos (who, as I would guess, owns a copyright to the song and video) are forced to take down their own copyrighted material! How can this happen!?

A lot of people are saying this is the "end of YouTube".

I think not.

I believe that as a group of YouTubes, we can bring back the old YT and force out the ass-holes running this poor excuse for a "video sharing site".

I believe what we face is a f@#king moron over at the YT head quarters who, thinks that because he "got promoted" to be in charge of "monitoring" the videos uploaded and watched, he thinks he now has the power to flag, mute, and remove any and all videos that contain a shred of creativity among the new generation and advance of new technologies.

ATTENTION YouTube VIEWERS!!!
we need to stick together and fight our way through this moron and continue to do what we have done in the past and upload any video we wish to share with the online community.

Before long, we will gain back control of YT and finally remove that obsessive power-hungry moron removing all the videos that made 2008 what it was: A Year of Online Connectiveness.

Either that or the world will slowly eat its self into a black hole of technology.
